Welcome to our new website

The Gaskell Hall is located in the centre of the beautiful village of Silverdale, Lancashire on Morecambe Bay. It was opened in 1931 and is named after Elizabeth Gaskell.

The hall has two different sized rooms which are available to hire, the Main Hall and the smaller Green Room. Both have kitchens and are suitable for coffee mornings, parties, dances, sports, exercise classes, cinema, theatre, music, meetings, exhibitions and more.

Coffee Mornings

Traditionally Saturday mornings are coffee mornings at the Gaskell Hall. These coffee mornings are a feature of Silverdale life and raise generous funds for many local charities and other organisations. Why not raise funds for your organisation by arranging one?

The coffee mornings generally take place from 10am -12pm  with a raffle drawn at 11.40am, admission charge is often £1 including a coffee or tea and biscuit.  However, these are of course private bookings and each organisation decides how to run its own event.  However to help you we have a handy Guide to Running a Coffee Morning.

Booking The Hall

You can check when the hall is free and find lots of information about hiring and using the hall on our booking page.
